Two labradors whose owners met on the internet have got married in a lavish ceremony in India.
Shamsher and Diana married in a huge tent bedecked with jasmine flowers in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Jaipur.
Shamsher, owned by wealthy businessman, was escorted to the venue by musicians, dancing eunuchs, 350 human guests and dozens of the couple's canine friends.
The dogs 'met' through a website, run by a Jairpur pet shop, where dog owners can find mating partners for their pets.
Entry to the wedding ceremony was strictly by invitation and police officers were deployed to keep gatecrashers at bay.
The only interruption in the ceremony came when the groom went on a barking spree but he stopped after a nip from his bride.
The bride, dressed in traditional red, was reluctant to complete the customary seven rounds of the holy fire and had to be lured with doggy treats for the last two rounds.
Priest Manish Sharma was initially nervous of the couple but relaxed after their owners helped him perform the rituals.
He told Asian News International: "I performed all the rituals for the dogs just like human beings. There was no problem. The arrangement was very nice and I really enjoyed the whole thing."
